Privacy Policy

MilesCost (the "App") is an iOS application to record vehicle costs and display corresponding statistics. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Information We Process​

The App is designed to minimize data collection. Information used by the App to provide functionality includes:

Vehicles & Expenses​

  • What we collect: Data you enter into the App (vehicle records, expenses, odometer readings, notes, tags, etc.).
  • Where it is stored: Primarily stored locally on your device.
  • iCloud sync: If you enable iCloud for the App via your Apple ID, your data will be stored in iCloud and synchronized across devices using the same Apple ID. iCloud storage and processing are governed by Apple’s privacy policies: https://www.apple.com/privacy/privacy-policy.
  • Developer access: The developer does not access or view your locally stored data or iCloud-synced data unless you explicitly share it (for example, as part of a support request).

Contact & Support​

  • When you use the App’s contact/support function, an email template can be generated. This template may include:
    • Your device model and iOS version.
    • The App version.
    • An optional diagnostics file (only included if you choose to include it).
  • You may edit or remove any content from the email before sending.
  • Purpose: This information helps diagnose and fix issues.

Purchases​

  • The App is provided as a paid download. Payments for purchases are handled exclusively by Apple via your Apple ID. The App does not collect payment details such as credit card numbers.
  • Apple may process or retain information you provide for the purchase. The App has no control over Apple's processing of that payment information.

Analytics & Third-Party Services​

  • The App may include third-party SDKs or services (for crash reporting or analytics). Any such usage will be disclosed in-app if present, and those third parties have their own privacy policies which govern their handling of data.
  • If we add analytics or other third-party services in the future, we will disclose their presence and purpose within the App and provide links to their privacy policies.

Data Retention & Deletion​

  • Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
  • If using iCloud, data may persist in your iCloud account per Apple’s retention policies; you can delete it via iCloud settings.
  • To delete data created in the App, use the App’s built-in delete features or uninstall and remove related iCloud data as needed.

Children​

  • The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us to request deletion.

Security​

  • We take commercially reasonable measures to protect the data stored in the App. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and Apple ID.

Your Rights & Choices​

  • Access: You can view your data directly in the App.
  • Deletion: You can delete records or uninstall the App to remove local data; if data is stored in iCloud, delete it via iCloud settings.
  • Support: To request assistance or ask about data handling, contact support@neuronadvance.com. Provide device details and a clear request for faster help.

Changes to This Policy​

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
